A 'new' canteen made with old materials!
Gielissen has its own stockage of leftover materials and other stuff waiting to be re-used. This became the starting point for Studio Lime to design a ‘new’ company canteen with materials that were used before. A perfect example of a circular interior if you ask us!
Gielissen even has its own sustainability team and ‘Green Officer’ who were closely involved with this project. Together with Studio Lime, they went on a treasure hunt in the archives to see what materials could be used to create new products for the canteen.
For example, old panels that had lost purpose were used to make the Bistro Tables in Flax and White Denim.
As a finishing touch, Unusual Barstools, Ubu Chairs, and Rebel Chairs in Army were added to complete the story of circularity and recycling!
