.CBRE HQ – The Core Amsterdam
The Core is the new headquarters of CBRE Netherlands. This imposing new headquarters is located in the Schinkel area in Amsterdam and has found its place under the roof of a 50-year-old car garage.
CBRE is an international real estate and housing organization with more than 370 offices worldwide. It is our honor to develop and realize the first physical business card for the Dutch head office.
Within the innovative working environment of CBRE, sustainability, health, co-creation and smart tech are central. This is reflected in the 4 different work zones in the building; The CBRE Café, the Client Lab, the Workshop and the Library.
Within one of these work zones, we realized a large custom locker / cupboard wall, the first place where the visitor on an employee physically secures or takes his belongings to work within one of the zones.
The Cubics shelvingsystem is a modular system consisting of 5-meter-high racks with lockers that can be opened electronically with the personal access pass or badge. With this innovative locker system, the user can store his belongings safely at all times and thanks to the flexible use, it is available again for others.

The circular Rezign® Veneer was used to finish the cabinets, developed by design studio Planq. This is a decor made of textile and natural waste streams that are recycled into a high-quality and soft-touch decor. The entire cabinets are made of recognizable materials such as recycled suits (black), KLM flight attendant uniforms (blue), recycled hospital clothing (white), and recycled jute bags from the coffee industry (beige). These circular and modular cabinets are a fine example of the entire concept implemented by the new CBRE headquarters. Clearly, innovation, sustainability, and circularity are central to this.
It is not without reason that this project has won several prestigious prizes such as two international Frame Awards.
